The Champs-Elysees received a green makeover this past May. Artist Gad Weil along with landscape architect Laurence Medioni converted the beloved boulevard (323,000 square feet) into a green urban haven. Nature Capitale was a two-day installation filled with 150,000 plants and 650 trees to protest the situation of France#039;s current agriculture sector. Visitors were able to purchase the plants and trees for their own gardens. Staged by France#039;s farming union, which consists of 55,000 farmers under the age of 35, the installation was designed to show visitors the efforts farming requires. Along with 2 million visitors, President Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni enjoyed the giant garden in front of the Arc de Triomphe. Farm animals such as sheep, pigs, horses and cows also visited the Nature Capitale. br /

pTry entering safemode #8211; usually tapping the f5 key when starting up #8211; then select safemode #8211;br /
if this works and you get a display #8211; go into the device manager (press the windows icon button plus the pause break key #8211; then select hardware gt; device manager)br /
click on the plus next to the display adaptors #8211; highlight your display adaptor then right click on it and uninstall)br /
restart your conputer and see if this helps/p
pif you enter safemode and the display switches off #8211; try entering the bios #8211; when you get the splash screen it should tell you which key to press (enter setup)br /
does your screen go blank in this #8211; if so you have a hardware problem -/p
pif you can check your setting within the bios #8211; load the optimised defaults or defaults and try again/p
pgive this a go and good luck/p
pPS #8211; also try a ATX reset -br /
remove your battery and the power cable from your laptopbr /
press and hold the power button in for about 30 seconds #8211; this will remove any static build up on the MOBObr /
Power back on and see if this works/p

pHow old is the laptop? Based on my experience, notebooks/laptops start to have display problem as they #8216;grow older#8217;/p

pI would go to a custom place online that is not one of the #8220;Big Names.#8221; Sometimes the biggies like Dell, Acer, and HP/Compaq have deals if you don#8217;t mind not customizing it./p
pTry something like CyberPowerPC. They have cheap prices, and you can choose what you want on your laptop so you can get rid of any parts you don#8217;t need. They also include 1 year of free warranty, and lifetime phone support, so that#8217;s good. I wouldn#8217;t rely on the support though, but the prices are second to none./p
pOther online places to try that I hear are Alienware and NewEgg, you may want to check them out./p
pYou might also be able to find a deal at BestBuy or Walmart as well, depending on the time of year. Bottom line is, you#8217;re making a big investment, so shop around some. Remember they all use the same components mostly, so whoever is the cheapest, is probably the best./p
p*IMPORTANT* My one MAJOR recommendation would be to avoid AMD processors. They are great in desktops, but in laptops they tend to overheat and cause problems. I learned this the hard way./p
